Harvesting Windows of Cashew
  • Cashew trees flower in January-February and the nuts mature by April-May. The fruit bearing nuts fall to the ground and collection is done twice a week during the season.
  • The nuts are dried in the drying yards for 2 to 3 days on cement floor and packed in gunny bags.
  • The yield starting from 1 kg in 3rd- 4th year, goes on increasing as the canopy develops and one can expect more that 10 kgs. of nuts from 8 to 10 years old plant, depending on management.
